Church & State :: Fall 08 Stateside
Remember the gorgeous designs of Church & State, photographed equally beautifully by Chris Hornbecker? (See original post here.) Well, they're back again with a fall collection entitled "Stateside" - a modern twist on Americana colors, inspired by the perceived nuances of how people dress in different parts of the country. The election year tie-in was not lost either - several styles incorporate military elements. I love Rachel and Nathaniel's approach to the collection, and once again the images just suit each design so perfectly (that's why I felt compelled to include about half the lookbook!).
Above and below: Maine trench.
North Dakota blouse; Montana skirt.
Vermont dress.
Oregon dress.
Alaska blouse; Connecticut shorts.
Delaware dress.

Amazing! I want every last piece! The photos are almost pretty enough to frame!
Completely in love with these photographs, and the clothes, of course -- such a beautiful collection -- adore the trench, and the Alaska blouse paired with the Connecticut shorts is really adorable.
stunning...i especially am swooning over that trench.
My oh my, the Oregon dress is divine!
These are all simply gorgeous, and I'd happily take each one! Thanks for introducing me to these beautiful clothes.
My favorite is the TRENCH...absolutely in love!
I knew the Oregon dress would be a hit - lots of great details. It reminds me of my sister-in-law, Molly!
Love it, love it, love it.
I love the Oregon Dress. It's lovely!
I'll take a Vermont Dress and an Oregon Dress, please ;) both are adorable! (and that Vermont Dress comes in a beautiful ochra / burnt orange, too!)
and I love the striped front & back covers of the lookbook - the taped on, typewriter titling is perfect!
