Have you noticed there's a lot of awesome stuff featuring woodgrain lately?... This jacket from Kidrobot was the first thing to really rope me in to the new trend. There's a lot of woodgrain accessories around lately, too... some actually using wood as their main material (like Amy Shutt's inlaid necklace - 3 pics up)... and others implementing the wood "pattern" into different materials, such as the silver cuff (2 pics up) by Amy Moore (honeybee) and the eco-friendly Faith on Juniper wallet (directly above) from DB Clay.

that wonderful wood grain-pattern wallet is actually one of the first wallet designs to EVER to make me want to spend that much cold hard cash on a wallet. of course, i can't help but think that a wallet like that just asks to be stolen...money and credit cards quickly discarded...they just wanted the wallet! :)
oh, man... once I saw that line at NSS last year, I was hooked. I actually have a ton of it in my studio that will (hopefully) turn into some book covers in the near future.
and Jw used it recently as the slipcase on the SDDWN Monograph!
