As a designer myself, I totally get it when I'm entering a realm of the design world that, well, I'm just not an expert in... I'm good at type treatment, logo design, printing stuff on a letterpress. I'm not so good at space planning or figuring out how to get my shelving to look right in the back corner of my studio.

This is where I get in touch with Courtney & Lauren, from kelly+olive, to see if there's any way that they can squeeze in a consultation with an overworked stationery designer who's opening a shop in just under 8 weeks (!) -

Lucky for me, they said "yes!" and we're planning on meeting up at the new space some time in the next week or so. I'm super-excited to be working with some other design-minded people who will help me edit the ideas I've had swimming around in my brain for, well, years! and give me a nice, fresh perspective on my existing furniture and fixtures.
